this was amazing but it should be continued, there is much more stuff i wanna know, such as them taking a bath/shower together and romantic moments, but thats just smth i would like to have happened, this was amazing to read im somewhat happy at the end. feels like a cliffhanger but it was rlly good.

This was depressing as hell. At every moment I felt like they, especially Herta and her family, were under unspeakable threat both physically and mentally. They could easily have themselves insulted, whipped, dismembered and everything I could think of. They were treated worse than objects which would definitely be executed after used. The worst part was that each one in the family was used as hostage to another, which terribly torture them all and show how miserable and powerless these people are. Their life as slaves are destined to be full of fear and always trampled. As for Grace, hers is not much better, it’s just as dismal and bleak, there’s also nothing awaits her down the road. Fortunately, in pain and hopelessness, they found each other, plucked up their courage and fought for what and who they value.
I’m grateful that the author didn’t end the story after Grace’s eventual death to show us a happy ending.

Started off a little slow, but damn, it got good! So much drama and angst! Nothing short of a classic. Like all of the manga I really enjoy, I went and bought the digital version on Tapas to support the author, would love more stories like this.

the only story i never skip the dialog and scene. its beautifuly writen. i love the characters, their deep bond, the conflict, the drawing. And i like the way you execute their intimacy become more sweet and pure, i think it’s relevant with the characters development.

Really, that’s what people get when their pride goes first before jumping into useless conclusions and rejects to admit their mistakes. He even named his daughter a name that’s not fit for a lady to be called on and what’s worse, it’s the name of an innocent man he killed without any evidence that it’s really his son right? That really made me upset, his wife’s pregnancy was supposed to be a miracle but it turns out to be different.
Well in the overall story, I enjoyed every single chapters. It’s fun how Andy make fun of Hertha. A huge salute for this author who made such a great story. I wish the yuri genre will stand out more for the others, cause some of it is not all about kissing, sex, or what but also focuses on these kinds of topics. For me, historical x yuri genre is the best!

Like some other readers here, I also got put off at first when I read the first few free chapters on tapas mobile, cuz Andy’s love was kinda cold and creepy. But I swear, reading through to the end is very rewarding and you really won’t regret it. It’s like a Romeo and Juliet kinda story, but even better, with less flare but just as much gritty drama, if not more. There’s definitely real yuri here, but it’s a really slow burn, like getting a sunburn after a whole day at the beach haha. It’s worth it, tho.

wew i’ve reached the ending again hehe. This one genuine yuri chapter feels like my reward for reading to the end, but the story itself was already reward enough for me, this is just a bonus hehe. I strongly suggest everyone to read the end notes because it contains just a tiny bit of extra epilogue and lots of surprising facts about this story.

This is what you call a good story. Most mangas are like lolicon or some characters are too young and yet the stories are too lewd. This one has a nice story and sensible plus the characters are beautifully created. Good job, author and artist!

Historical, dark and gloomy story.
The colour selection is chosen to match the dull theme of the storyline and the artwork is great.
No NTR, love triangles, or useless misunderstandings. Both leads have their own dark past and they gradually get over their problems and learn about their feelings. It gets a bit gory and interesting.
Totally worth a read and love the semi-happy ending.

Why is this story so painful is so many levels. It wasn’t the ‘in your face’ type of heartache (well, probably not YET at least cause I’m just in chapter 12) but still, I find my heart aching every now and then. It’s like, continuous jab at our hearts in every chapter instead of flashy moves like an uppercut or something.
